Stories from the lights of leamington
The Lights of Leamington Festival was a beloved annual event in Leamington's Jephson Gardens, featuring dazzling lights, fireworks, and entertainment to lift post-war spirits. It ran from 1951 - 1961.
We have secured National Heritage Lottery Funding to gather stories and memorabilia from the festival. This collection will feature in an exhibition, film, podcasts, pamphlet and will be archived.

Using money raised by National Lottery players, The National Lottery Heritage Fund supports projects that connect people and communities with the UK’s heritage. 'Switched on Stories' is made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Thanks to National Lottery players, we have been able to capture and celebrate stories and memories of the original Lights of Leamington Festival.
